The starting point

The customer initially bought available electronics for its own product. As requirements developed, the work expanded to custom hardware, production and assembly, followed by ongoing supply of the project hardware and other components.

Our contribution

  1. 01

    Start with available products

The customer selected modules and components through the shop for development and production. Product purchasing also opened a conversation about further project requirements.

  2. 02

Take on defined development and production tasks

New hardware requirements were discussed and the scope agreed before custom development, production and assembly were organized.

  3. 03

    Coordinate stock and subsequent deliveries

Manufacturing and transport take time, while purchasing follows actual consumption. Product-specific demand informed discussions on order batches, stock and delivery arrangements.

How the relationship continues

Alongside ongoing supply of existing products, the customer’s development team continued buying other components, building new prototypes and discussing further engineering projects. The three services work alongside each other within the same relationship.

This case describes an anonymized cooperation. Development scope, stock and delivery conditions are agreed for the individual project, not offered as universal commitments.
